Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
To manage the execution of Local Content Monitoring activities in government procurement of selected product categories as per LCGPA’s strategy and participate in the activities related tender documents preparation, tendering, evaluation, awarding and contract execution.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Local Content Requirements
§ Recommend the appropriate LC mechanism for the strategic categories as per LCGPA’s strategy
§ Recommend any terms and conditions to be included in the tender documents to ensure maximizing the LC in strategic categories as per LCGPA’s strategy
Interface with the Designated Entity for Strategic Procurement
§ Work with the Designated Entity for Strategic Procurement to make sure that the framework agreements include the LC requirements
§ Review and comment on the category procurement strategy prepared by the Designated Entity for Strategic Procurement.
§ Work with the Designated Entity for Strategic Procurement to make sure tendering activities of the framework agreements captures all of LCGPA’s requirements.
§ Participate in the activities related to suppliers shortlisting, qualification and negotiation processes for the framework agreements.
Interface with the Government Entities
§ Work with the government entities to make sure that the LC requirements are included in their tenders for the strategic categories.
Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports
§ Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
§ Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate reports and functional deliverables to meet the functional requirements in order to achieve the desired efficiency and performance excellence.
